We are a friendly community of people who love Jesus Christ and delight in His service. Spiritually, and most importantly, we are people whose lives have been transformed by the truth and grace of God. While we are far from perfect people, we seek to help each other live according to the truth that God has given us in His Word. Our greatest desire and ultimate purpose is to bring glory to God. We are committed to the truth of God’s Word and the insatiable hope it brings to those who seek it.
We highly value the Bible, and it is our belief that God has inspired and preserved this book for our benefit and for the dissemination of the Christian faith. We believe the Bible conveys one cohesive story of the redemptive work of God, culminating in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is the gospel or “good news” by which God is reconciling all things to Himself for His glory and for our good. We believe that the gospel is central both for this world and for the world to come.
We exist to spread a passionate desire for the gospel of grace to all people, for all aspects of life.

The Chapel in Marlboro fulfills its purpose by leading believers to maturity through evangelism, instruction, service, fellowship, and worship.
Our Ten-Fold Vision is ...
To strive for excellence in all endeavors;
To be a church where all are welcomed;
To establish people in the truth of the Bible, thus producing disciples of Jesus Christ;
To have knowledgeable and compassionate pastoral staff who can and do help people;
To encourage participation by all members in ministry (meeting the needs of others in Jesus' Name);
To present the "good news" of God's salvation, offered through the Lord Jesus Christ frequently, if not weekly;
To encourage the development of small groups, where people may experience real friendship and personal growth;
To have a world mindset; a desire to minister beyond the walls of the church to others;
To develop the acreage and facilities for community and spiritual ministry;
To glorify God in all that we do.
Our team is made up of knowledgeable and friendly individuals who are passionately leading and serving the needs of our members in their respective areas.
I am the founding pastor of The Chapel in Marlboro. I did my masters work at Heritage Baptist University and hold a Doctor of Ministry from Bethany Theological Seminary. My wife, Serena, and I have three adult children and two grandchildren. I enjoy sports and relaxing by walking my dogs on wooded trails.
I grew up in Medina with two amazing parents and one brother. My parents instilled a love of the arts in me from childhood. I’ve been leading worship since middle school and have been blessed to be in full-time ministry at The Chapel in Marlboro since 2013.
I’m blessed with an incredibly talented and beautiful wife, Angela, and have four awesome kids. I enjoy all things musical, love to play basketball and board games, and am an avid sports fan.
I earned my Bachelor of Music in percussion performance at Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music and my Master of Music in percussion performance from the University of Akron.
I love spending time outdoors with my wife, Jennifer, and my sons, Brooks and Brady. I am active in my local community and enjoy working with the varsity football program and coaching youth sports. When I’m not coaching, I enjoy reading historical biographies and my Bible. The verse that most impacts my life is Joshua 1:9: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
I have a B.A. from the University of Akron and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. My wife, Carolyn, and I have 8 children – 5 girls and 3 boys. In 2009, I published The Calling (What the Lord Intended). In my spare time, I enjoy doing some woodworking.
I grew up on a farm in Marlboro and was hired as Administrative Assistant at the Chapel in Marlboro after cleaning the church attic ten years ago. I hold a degree in Legal/Executive Secretarial studies and have a heart for service. Along with my husband, Keith, and my children, Lucas and Audra, I love to drive trucks on the sand dunes in Michigan.
Deacon & Trustees
Our deacons are a group of men and their wives who practically and consistently extend the love of Christ to people of our church in various ways. They look after the well-being of the congregation by ministering to and aiding those who are in need. Our trustees are a group of men elected every year who oversee the financial decisions of the church.
