Note from Pastor Joel:
Dear Chapel Family and Friends:
Today is Friday, March 20, 2020.
In an attempt to be good citizens of earth and heaven, and in an effort to “flatten the curve” of the Corona virus, we will cancel the public worship services of the church Sunday, March 22. This will also include AWANA and choir on Wednesday evening March 25.
President Donald Trump has asked that Americans avoid gathering in groups of 10 or more for 15 days, from March 16. We want to honor this CDC provided guideline as citizens of earth as possible.
As citizens of heaven, you are encouraged to go online to the church’s Facebook page for children’s lessons presented by Pastor Todd, a daily song of hope provided by Pastor Matt, and updates on church happenings. Pastor Josiah will be meeting with youth in groups of 10 or less to continue ministry to them. You are strongly encouraged to worship online this Sunday at 10:15 am, through www.marlboro-chapel.com/media or www.youtube.com/chapelinmarlboro. Consider having a Watch Party, where you invite others to watch – under 10 persons total – and experience the fellowship aspect of worship together.
This is a very difficult time for all of us. Please pray for our President, Governor and health providers. Pray for your church. I am asking you to pray for me as well.
This is not an easy decision, but a considered one. It was not made lightly. These decisions are being made week-to-week as the situation demands. Decisions will be posted on the website by Saturday Noon.
Please remember that the church still needs your tithes and offerings. You may donate by mail: The Chapel in Marlboro, PO Box 169, Louisville, OH 44641. You may walk your gift into the church office, hours 8-3. You may text in your gift to 21456. And, you may give through the church’s web site, www.marlboro-chapel.com/giving.
May God bless you during these trying days.
In Christ,
Pastor Joel Cochran
